Agreeable statement, Sanskrit is the most ancient language of our country. it is the one of the 22 scheduled official languages of india and it is the second official language of uttrakhand.

Sanskrit is the root of many indian languages. it is perhaps the only language that transcended the barriers of regions and boundries. from north to south and east to west there is no part of India that has not contributed to or been affected by this language.

Also, Sanskrit has its root in the other 21 official language of India i.e. Telgu, Urdu, English, Bengali, Hindi, Punjabi, Konkani, Gujrati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Manipuri, Oriya, Nepali, Tamil, Assamese, Mizo, Korborok, Khasi, Garo, Santali.

For instance, there are several words which are used in English of Sanskrit origin i.e.

Jangala-s becomes Jungle

Dalah becomes Dhal

Karman becomes Karma

Langulam becomes Langur

Loot-m becomes Loot.

similarly, There are such sanskrit origin words also found in the holy book of islam i.e. Quran.

Zaranjaber becomes Zanjbeel; which means ginger

Kapur becomes Kafur

Mushk becomes misk.

In punjabi, also there are many such Sanskrit origin words found.

Dughda becomes Duddha

Sapt becomes Satt-a.

As Sanskrit is older than 21 official language and we can say that Sanskrit is mother of 21 official language of India.
